Matriarch & Rogue Wine Down @ Sevenhill Hotel

The Autumn Sun brought glorious weather to host one of the final Clare Valley Gourmet Events for 2021. Popular Adelaide Duo “Driving Doris” provided live tunes all afternoon on the deck, with the colourful Autumn leaves in the background falling on the deck appearing like they were dancing to the music.

Local Winemaker & business owner, Marnie Roberts, from Matriarch & Rogue showcased a selection of her Clare Valley white and red wines. To accompany the beautiful wines, Head Chef Ashley Coad served up mouth watering slow cooked pulled beef tacos or Kingfish sashimi made with a Matriarch & Rogue Maurie Vermentino dressing.

The locals and tourists sat in the beergarden enjoying the atmosphere. Local Artist Holly from Long Legs Art also added to the entertainment – customers could “Paint their own Clutch”. Holly was ecstatic that her first customer for the day was a male who creatively painted his wife her own clutch!

A successful, fun day had by all that attended. Count down is on to celebrate this annual event next year!
